Pet Grooming Gloves

I got these and pet grooming gloves because I couldn't wait to try them on my short-haired Rhodesian Ridgeback, who really craves that once-a-day, one--on-one, personal time with her human.  Her hair is super short and super soft, but come springtime she sheds like a banshee!  So I couldn't wait to get these on her.  OMG, she melted under my hands.  She was in heaven.

So the gloves slide on pretty easily, you fasten them with Velcro.  Then you get to work just running your hand up and down the coat.  I did so in a reverse motion as well to loosen up any stray hairs.  I tell ya, there was a LOT of hair that I removed with the gloves and of course a lot of hair just falling will-nilly to the floor.  I have to say that I thought the gloves would catch ALL of the hair, but yes, certainly some will hit the floor.

So my suggestion is to do this outside whenever possible so you don't have to whip out the vacuum cleaner afterward.  BE DRESSED for dog grooming.  I learned the hard way, after taking a shower and smoothing oil on my skin that DOG HAIR sticks to oiled skin---duh!  So wear your lawnmowing sneakers and no skin products when you're doing this.

But yes, my dog seemed to really enjoy the rubber bristles as opposed to a metal brush or the boar hair brush that I used to use.  It's more of a massage experience for her and I like that.  These will also be great for giving her a wash as well! Well done! .
